The Seniors Network is a non-profit, community planning table led by seniors for seniors. Our members include community-minded seniors, service providers, non-profit organizations, businesses, service clubs, and representatives from various levels of government. We work in collaboration with each other and the community in order to improve the health and well-being of seniors in Maple Ridge, Pitt Meadows, and Katzie First Nation in British Columbia.
Accessible services and resources for seniors
Our primary goal is to strengthen the availability and quality of services, programs and resources for seniors, and to develop a seamless approach to senior service delivery in a spirit of cooperation and understanding. This is achieved by identifying gaps, avoiding service and program duplication, and planning for the implementation of new services that will enhance the quality of life for seniors.
We are Age-Friendly Cities!
Did you know? The City of Pitt Meadows and City of Maple Ridge received the Age-Friendly City Designation in 2016, recognizing their ongoing commitment to making the cities great communities for residents to age in! In 2019 the City of Maple Ridge also joined the World Health Organization’s Global Network of Age-Friendly Cities. The members of the Seniors Network contribute to these projects. Join us at our next meeting to find out more!
